We are looking for:
1. Special guests to talk about their jobs, careers, or hobbies
Saint Louis Sudbury School is seeking volunteers who would enjoy sharing what they love about their job, past career, or hobbies with Self-Directed Education students, ages 5 to 18. We are also open to visiting your workplace on a field trip (it would be less than 14 people in attendance including adults).
2. Guest teacher for one-time workshops or ongoing classes
Do you have a particular talent or skill that you would love to share with Self-Directed Education students, ages 5 to 18? We are looking for guest teachers who would like to share their interests as a one-time workshop or an ongoing class. Saint Louis Sudbury School students' interests range from visual arts, performing arts, storytelling, history, graphic design, biology, plant sciences, current events, digital media, theatre, architecture, inventions, game design, and much more. Some of our teenage students are also interested in studying for the HiSET or GED and taking online college level courses and could use support in those areas.
3. Trivia Night Fundraiser Assistance
We are looking for volunteers to assist with soliciting and collecting silent auction donations, trivia round sponsorships, and day of assistance with set-up, check-in, check-out, and clean-up. The event is Saturday, March 13, 2027 at First Unitarian Church of St. Louis. All proceeds from Saint Louis Sudbury School's Trivia Night fundraiser help support the school's Tuition Assistance Program.
4. Board of Trustees Membership
Saint Louis Sudbury School is looking to add new members to our Board of Trustees. Board members are trusted advisors and advocates for our nonprofit microschool.
5. Administrative Assistance
We are currently looking for assistance with legal, marketing, and fundraising for the school.
